The ecosystem in the source area of the Yellow River, taking hydrologic and water resources regime as basic index, has been changing remarkably during recent years. This paper analyzes the variety and pointes out that due to the incomplete monitoring system, we can't learn completely the interaction physical mechanism between the main factors of the ecosystem in the source area of Yellow River, The explanation to many phenomenon are still in the "stochastic" level and it is hard to find out valid ways of problem- solving. Then this paper introduces the necessity, basic thinking and practices on constructing data collecting and forecasting system in the source area of Yellow River based on the water circulation.
