All these issues will take time and cooperation to resolve. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) have jointly sponsored the Future Flight Data Collection Committee (FFDCC). The stated purpose of the FFDCC is the analysis and recommendation of future flight recorder requirements and technologies looking out into the 2015 time frame. This Future Flight Data Collection Committee is the most promising forum for addressing and solving the various issues of telemetering flight data for accident and incident investigation.
