摘要

Much attention has been paid to noble metal decorated mesoporous nanoparticles in expectation of high performance in catalysis. We have demonstrated that supercritical alcohols are one of the most promising reaction media for synthesis of mesoporous metal oxide nanospheres, such as SiO_2, TiO_2, ZnO, ZrO_2, and CeO_2, doped by rare earth elements. Here, we describe a new approach to control morphologies of noble metal decoration onto/into mesoporous TiO_2 nanospheres. One-pot and single-step reaction of Ti(O~iPr)_4 with HAuCl_4 in supercritical methanol afforded Au@TiO_2 mesoporous nanospheres with core-shell and doping morphologies. Treatment of solid- and hollow-TiO_2 nanospheres with HAuCl_4 resulted in Au@TiO_2 with surface dispersion and yolk-core-shell morphologies, respectively. Similarly, noble metal alloy nanoparticles such as Au-Pt-Pd were also introduced onto/into mesoporous TiO_2 nanospheres with similar morphologies.
