摘要

Seepage deformation is one of the most important factors that cause hydraulic structures and foundation failure. A wide rang of tectonic soft interlayer often appears on a dam site due to the intercalated sliding, so large scale seepage experiments of undisturbed interlayer samples are carried out to find out the seepage deformation pattern and the degree of damage of the soft interlayer. Size limitation of instruments makes the interlayer samples used in the experiments either several centimeters thick or several decimeters thick. Due to the difference of permeability between two kinds of soft interlayer, the experiment show that the relationships between interlayer and surrounding rock will affect the seepage deformation pattern. Based on the experiment, numerical analysis method was adopted to simulate the hydraulic gradient distribution in soft interlayer as well as the surrounding rock. Finally, Some findings of experimental studies and numerical analysis on seepage deformation of soft interlayer have been concluded in this paper.
