The size effect on the flexural resistance of concreams has been studied from a point of the dimension of cross section but not from a point of the length of beams enough. The influence of beam length on the flexural resistance, therefore, has generally been mdoeled using the "series linking model". In this study, the effect of beam length was investigated by experiments and the series linking model was evalauated. In the experiments, many four-point bending tests were performed on plain concrete beams which have differet dimensions of cross section, shear spans and bending spans. As results, the authors modified the series linking model in order to show good agreement with the test results, because the experiments showed that the series linking model overestimates the flexural resistance.
