摘要

The long term goal of this research is to develop affordable on-board equipment for measurements of helicopter flight parameters and to elaborate methodologies for application of these data in constructing of helicopter computer model. The COTS (components of the shelf) approach is adopted for designing and constructing helicopter in flight measurements system. The IMU (inertial measurement unit) was designed and manufactured using piezovibrating gyroscopes and silicon accelerometers. The GPS (Global Positioning System) receiver of lower class was included into the system. These two devices connected to the laptop computer with A/D card allowed to measure and register helicopter position and attitude with respect to the ground. The Kalman filtering was applied for noise rejection from the signal. In the paper the tests done in the sailplane and helicopter flight are presented. These tests allow constructing proper signal filtering methodology and collect data for helicopter computer model validation.
