Buccoadhesive tablets of Insulin were prepared using various bioadhesive polymers The tablets were characterized in-vitro on the basis of physical parameters, surface pH, bioadhesive strength, permeation studies and release characteristics. The buccoadhesive tablet contained recombinant Human Insulin (50 IU), CP 934 P: SCMC-DVP (2:3),crosscarmellose sodium (15mg) and magnesium stearate (2mg).
