Development for arm reverse thrust characteristics test system of well radius measuring instrument

In order to explore the distribution of oil and geological conditions in deep well, logging technology is now widely used to indirectly acquire the information of oil exploration. Well radius measuring instrument is widely used in oil production, and the variation of well radius is obtained by the arm of well radius measuring instrument tightly against the wall. The pushing force of measuring arm is a key factor for the accuracy of well radius measuring instrument. Aiming at the important factors which impact accuracy of the measurement, we developed a test system for the arm reverse thrust, including the operational principle of testing system, the overall project design, control system design and the computer control platform based on Lab VIEW. Then, automation of the measurement system is achieved. Finally, we carry out a lot of experiments on the test system, including calibration for the force sensor, arm reverse thrust characteristics test of well radius measuring instrument. The good performance of the test system is verified by the analysis of data and comparison.
