摘要

Internet of Things (IoT) is a new concept that gains popularity extremely fast. It is widely used in various areas of our lives. Internet of Things is at the core of modern smart cities that rely on information gathered from variety sensor nodes in order to improve efficiency of the urban ecosystem and also the quality of life. The IoT might be used and be useful, for example, in the area of healthcare for monitoring the health status of patients or it can be used as fitness utility to produce activity statistics without the use of smartphones. In smart city environment things are used to monitor various parameters of urban environment like air quality, temperature, safety, urban transport, etc.
