Adaptive Fault-tolerant Model Matching Control of Distributed Delay Systems with Non-ideal Actuators and Communications

This paper develops direct adaptive-state feedback control schemes to solve the robust tracking control problem for a class of distributed systems with actuator failures, faulty and perturbed communications, external disturbances, and networked time-varying delays. The adaptation laws are proposed to update the controller parameters on-line when all the eventual faults, upper bounds of perturbations and disturbances, and networked delays are unknown. Then a class of distributed state feedback controllers is constructed for automatically compensating the fault, perturbation, disturbance and time-delay effects based on the information from adaptive schemes. The proposed distributed adaptive tracking controller can guarantee that the resulting adaptive closed-loop system is stable and the tracking error decreases asymptotically to zero with the delayed information. The proposed adaptive design technique is finally evaluated in the light of an example.
