摘要

In 1996 the space technology education at Bachelor level was established at Narvik University College (HIN) and in the year 1999 the Master programme opened. Both these programmes are the first and only in Norway of their kind. The programmes, while having a strong space flavour are designed to be broad and generally qualify students for a wide range of opportunities for professional careers. Basically these are educations within electronics with emphasis on communication, basic space technology, space physics and spacecraft dynamics. HIN will conduct an evaluation workshop in June 2005 where representatives from industry in space technology will give feedback on the education. Laboratory resources have been complemented with space related equipment so that theory can be related to practical work in a qualified way wherever relevant. HIN students have been engaged in a number of interesting space technology diploma projects that have been given by national companies and institutions. Currently different groups are engaged in international space technology student projects. HIN has filled a research fellow position associated to research on attitude and orbit control of spacecraft formations. Recently HIN also engaged a visiting professor in space technology.
