Shock tunnel experiments are conducted to investigate the shock tunnel nozzle flow affected by a moving throat plug. In this experimental study the moving throat plug terminates the shock tunnel nozzle flow after the steady flow is finished. For the flow values in the steady state, there exists a negligible difference between the moving throat plug and the stationary throat plug.
