The increasing interconnect operating frequencies require an accurate extraction of parasitic electromagnetic coupling. Moreover the cpu-time and memory requirements of standard techniques are ordinarily too expensive to deal with very large problems. In this paper the addition theorem based approximation of the frequency dependent Green's function is used to evaluate electromagnetic interaction parameters, namely partial inductances and potential coefficients, to be used in a PEEC environment. It is shown how the proposed approach provides a significant speed-up and it is suitable to be adopted in conjunction with fast algorithms.
