We present optical microsystems fabricated by ultraprecision micromilling. The unique variety of surface profiles fabricable with optical surface quality allows for the integration of optical, mechanical and fluidic functionality. Highly integrated systems for fluorescence detection or optical micromanipulation are discussed.
