In this work we developed an academic tool for teaching Digital Medical Image Processing in a Graphical interface using functions developed in MatLab. This platform makes possible the visualization of histograms, Fourier Spectra and the image in real time, with their modifications occurring as long as the user alters the image. Another interesting possibility is the comparison between the processed image and its original version besides the histogram and Fourier Spectra. We developed a threshold tool that can be used at any time in the processing flow. It's possible to visualize the entire processing flow in an action log and save the image, histogram or Fourier Spectra in commercial image formats, such as .jpg or .tif.
