This paper is proposed and aimed to examine a relation between an informal communication in innovation and open innovation climate in research and development (R&D) organization in Thailand. The main research strategies are (1) a quantitative analysis of the relation between Informal communication in innovation and Innovation and Flexibility which is one of three dimensions of open innovation climate; and (2) a case study of an R&D organization in electronics and computer technology in Thailand. Data have been collected from an online questionnaire which sent to target respondents which are 250 researchers working for the R&D organization. There are 40 respondents completely returned to the survey. Results from the paper will provide implications to other R&D organizations in Thailand for designing innovation communication activity or planning an innovation communication strategy for creating open innovation climate.
