The purpose of this work was to develop a procedure forfabricating electroceramic actuators with good piezoelectric properties.The preparation of lead zirconate titanate (PZT) piezoelectric ceramicrods and tubes by extrusion processing are described. The microstructureof the extruded materials was investigated in relation to differentprocessing conditions. Finally, measurements of density and dielectricand piezoelectric properties are reported and analyzed
