Continuous quality improvement has become a way of life in many companies. Companies that have not been active in this respect are being forced to adopt them due to rapidly rising customer expectations and increasing competitive pressures. Most important, however, is the fact that cintinuous quality improvement (CQI) programs lead to more effective operations and reduced operating costs.
