摘要

The purpose for this paper is the leakage characteristics study of the vale stem system in automotive engine. The gasoline engines are the mechanism having much tribological movement. In this paper, tester for experimental used oil motoring system. Experimental study did in the difference of the oil temperature variation and the revolution of the camshaft for the used valve and unused valve, the used valve stem seal and seal and the unused valve stem seal. Engine oil for experimental study used PCMO(passenger car motor oil) SAE 30 specification. In this experiment, the oil leakage of intake valve was more leaky than of exhaust valve by valve stroke difference and valve weight. Also, the leakage for used valve and seal were more leaky than that of unused valve and seal causing seal-lip wear by surface roughness variation.
