摘要

In this work, we present studies on the Pb complex of 4-thiazolidinone-2-thione (rhodanine, Rd). Divalent lead ion is a neurotoxin and is able to interact with many biomolecules. Rd is a simple molecule that belongs to the sulfur-containing N,O- heterocycles. The presence of the thioamide and keto groups determines ability of Rd to bind metal ions. Therefore, this ligand is widely involved in many pharmacological activities and has been applied as an antibacterial, antidiabetical, and antimicrobial agent1-3.
