Consideration regarding man-machine relationship Multi-disciplinary as structure, and interdisciplinary as knowing manner, ergonomics is a science aiming the improvement of the user-object relationship through man's ergonomics (selection, forming) and the object's ergonomics. Derived from the concept of structure and overtaken from the theory of general systems, the system man-machine is defined as a structure where its component elements interact in order to reach a common aim. In ergonomics the concept of a "man-machine" system is used for defining the working position made up of a man and a machine and the reciprocal adapting between them (fig.1).
