The direct numerical simulation (DNS) of a turbulent channel flow with a three-dimensional mean velocity profile has been performed. In the present study, a fully developed turbulent channel flow driven by a streamwise constant mean pressure gradient and a spanwise wall shear is assumed. Reynolds number based on the kinematic viscosity ν, the streamwise friction velocity u{sub}(τ1) and the channel half width δ is Re{sub}τ = 180. The DNS is carried out for the several wall shear cases to obtain the turbulence statistics. The present results indicate that the temperature variance and the energy redistribution of the turbulent shear stress change depend upon various wall shear cases.
