摘要

EPA is requiring periodic compliance monitoring in Title V permits. Alaska has a requirement that particulate mass emissions from fuel burning sources must not exceed 0.05 grains per dry standard cubic foot (gr/dscf). This paper shows engineering calculations that demonstrate that comphance with the state 20 percent opacity visible emissions standard will normally insure compliance with the 0.05-gr/dscf particulate mass emissions standard regardless of the type of combustion device involved. An alternative correlation is included for small stacks of 12 percent opacity to 0.05 gr/dscf Proposed permit conditions for monitoring, record keeping and reporting requirements for comphance with particulate and visible emission standards are included.
