We made cell fusion device utilizing mechanical fabrication and FIB (Focused-Ion Beam) fabrication instead of PDMS fabrication. Channel which width was about 50 μm and depth was about 50 μm was fabricated rapidly by mechanical fabrication. The fusion part was fabricated precisely by FIB fabrication. This fabrication method took less than 10 hours to make a cell fusion device. PDMS has been usually used for making micro bio devices because of easy fabrication, fast to fabricate and low cost. However, this combined method of mechanical fabrication and FIB fabrication made bio device cheaper and faster.
