The helix filter is widely used in the VHF frequency band and the UHF frequency band at present. It is made up of several helix resonantors. The number of the resonantor, especially the rectangular coefficient and the blockband characteristics affect the performance index directly . This paper analyzs the composing principle of the helix filter, and explains the relationship amongs the number of the resonantor, the rectangular coefficient and the blockband characteristics. It also presents some details about the design and test of the 8-resonantors microwave helix filter.
