An analytical investigation was undertaken of the dynamic characteristics of the gear-coupled branched system. Individual torsional and lateral critical speed calculations for the system were used to infer the torsional-lateral coupled cause of the difficulty. Transfer matrices are used to synthesize branch shafts. A simultaneous torsional-lateral dynamic characteristics calculations in gear-coupled system is emphasized. The effects of some operational parameters; i.e. the teeth mesh stiffnesses during the engagement and the support bearing stiffness, are incorporated into this model.
