摘要

We present a case of multiple neurocysticercosis who had painful continuous partial seizures of the left upper limb.Patient continued to have severe pain inspite of treatment with anticonvulsants, antihelminthic drugs and conventional analgesics. Patient was then treated with a continuous brachial plexus block to the left upper limb. An infusion of 0.125% bupivacaine was started and was titrated to the point of complete pain relief. Pain and seizure activity resolved after four days of medical treatment at which point continuous infusion was stopped. The patient was discharged after two weeks with no further episodes of pain or seizures.The exact source of the pain is not known but could have been due to cysticercal involvement at various points in the pain pathway.
