摘要

The explosion of the field of proteomics results in a need for high-throughput analysis and consequently the automation of MS techniques. Consequently, novel emitter tips, which are more robust, reproducible and compatible with the use of robots, are required. The idea is thus to use microtechnology techniques to fabricate novel nanotips. It enhances the fabrication control and provide reproducible and nanosources and it is fully compatible with batch production. We came thus to the idea of a nib-like tip that includes a capillary slot and a point-like structure. The nib concept was validated through two generations of SU-8 prototypes, which helped us to design optimized polySi-based nib tips with smaller dimensions towards analysis enhancement.
