Site effects Evaluation in the Zabol City using Microtremor measurement

Zabol is located in the eastern part of Iran, margin of Hilmand block. Peak ground acceleration inserted on city, by Zabol fault that passes through Zabol basement, insert with 0.4 ground acceleration on city. This city is situated on the quaternary alluvium sediments that capable to amplify the ground motion. However application and performance of detailed studies of these sediments are crucial to estimate the ability of probable earthquakes amplification. To evaluate dynamic characteristics of the Zabol sediments, used from Microtremor observations. For computation of the spectral ratios using Nakamura's method the JSESAME software developed within the European project SESAME was used. The resonanse period of the ground was determined and then iso period and iso amplification maps were derived from these data in Arc GIS software. Finally The period of the identified peaks varies in a narrow band from 0.36 to 1.43 seconds, with an average value of T = 0.94, hence Acceleration response spectra of the recorded data in Zabol show that ground shaking is of short period type.
