The physical and frictional properties of African Bread fruit (Treculia africana) seed were studied on one hundred seeds of Treculia africana. The major, intermediate and minor diameters of the seed were 12.40, 5.89 and 7.09 mm respectively. The seedcontain 13.62% moisture content dry basis. The geometric and arithmetic mean diameter were 0.22 cm and 0.67 cm respectively. A set often seeds was used in determination of the frictional properties and the result showed coefficient of friction and angleof internal friction to be least on glass and plastic with a value of 8.78, 13° and highest on plywood and galvanized iron with a value of 10.39, 23°. This suggests that glass or plastic is preferable for the design of contact surfaces, hoppers and other storage bins as this can enhance easy flow of materials in processing. The seed weight, seed volume and seed density were 0.19, 2.19 and 0.086 g/cm3 respectively. This show that the seed can float in water, characteristics necessitated for separationprocesses. The bulk density and porosity of the seed were 0.014 g/cm~3 and 16.65 % respectively, which shows that the seed will not efficiently form a pile when subjected to a hopper or conveyor in its processing. The surface area, sphericity and roundness were 0.22 cm~2, 0.67 and 0.51 respectively which indicates that the seed will assume difficulties in rolling
