There are currently more than a million patients diagnosed with congenital cardiac defect1. With the current advances in care of congenital heart diseases, such as fetal diagnosis, fetal interventions, new interventional and surgical techniques, improved post operative care as well as the use of ECMO, children with heart defect have enjoyed the best survival than ever and many of them have grown into adult life with partial or complete repair of their cardiac diseases.
