摘要

A novel bioanalytical method for rapid quantification of deltamethrin in small samples of rat plasma and rat brain homogenate was successfully developed and validated to current FDA guidelines. The method was used to successfully monitor the uptake and elimination of deltamethrin in plasma and brain following oral dosing of rats. These data provided key toxicokinetic parameters from concentration/ time profiles that will aid future studies in the construction of physiological models to accurately predict the target organ dosimetry and neurotoxic potential of pyrethroidsin children and adults for real life exposure scenarios. The method will be applied to the quantification of other pyrethroids in plasma, brain, liver, skin, muscle and fat.
