Mastitis is one of the most important diseases in dairy cattle, responsible for many losses in dairy herds and affecting milk quality. The production of high-quality milk is a high-priority issue for dairy farms and milk processors. The investigationof mastitis problems on dairy farms is an area of increasing demand and is an ideal way for veterinary practitioners to increase involvement in production medicine programs (1).
