Working gas pressure plays a very important role in determining the driving characteristics of a discharge cells. Increased gas pressure improves luminance and efficiency characteristics, but there are disadvantages of simultaneous increase in drive voltage. In this thesis, based on the discharge voltage as the gas pressure changes, changes in power consumption and electric field intensity within the discharge cells are investigated by using two dimensional fluid simulations.
