AC conductivity studies of Fe doped TiO2 nanotubes

Fc-doped TiO2 nanotubes are prepared by the combination of sol-gel process with hydrothermal treatment. The morphology and crystalline structure of TiO2 nanotubes are characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction respectively (XRD). Fe doping induces a structural transformation from anatase to rutile. The temperature dependence of the ac electrical conductivity is investigated in the temperature range 303-413 K. Positive temperature coefficient of resistance is observed in the Fe doped TiO2 nanotubes. PL spectrum shows the presence of oxygen vacancies and self trapped excitons in Fe doped TiO2 nanotubes and undoped samples.
