摘要

Multilingual education in the modern regional educative structure is a topic for discussion of the social, scientific and pedagogical community. The paper offers reflection exercise of the language pluralism implementation in the frame of the language policy of the federative countries as a variant of solving ethnic, linguistic, social, and international problems in the global world. The paper compares the language policy from the point of view of introducing alternative models of the bi and multilingual education in the educational system of the regions of the USA and Canada. In terms of methods and methodology the empirical base of the research is presented by documentary sources of the official nature, normative - by legal acts of federal and regional level. Besides demographic statistics, education statistics, and reports of perspectives on multilingual education in the Ontario (Canada) and California (USA) regions were analyzed. The authors were guided by the principles of logical and historical methods, quantitative and qualitative analysis. The results of the research provide statistical analysis of ethnic and linguistic diversity of regions; determining the needs of society in multilingual education, and its accessibility; revealing of the linguistic pluralism level in the regional educational systems. Comparative analysis of the language management in the field of education and alternative pads of language engineering assists in improving the federal states language policy.
