摘要

Automatic control for passengers' recognition has been a crucial point in public intelligent transport systems. It allows the identification of the passengers' origins and destinations, enabling the prediction of the number of passengers and the actual system demands for effective planning. In this work, a passenger recognition system using Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) technology - EPC Gen2 standard - in public transport systems is studied. This study evaluated different models of tags and antennas placement, considering several positions where the users usually carry a RFID card. Tests were conducted with people of different biotypes. The performed tests also evaluated the number of readers' antennas varying from one up to four.
