摘要

Sinter hardenable powders are now increasingly used in P/M because they enable the formation of martensite during the sintering cycle without resorting to oil quenching. The alloy content of the powders and the cooling rate during sintering are two factors which affect the microstructure and therefore the mechanical properties of the finished parts. In this work, the tensile strength and impact energy of two well known Mn-Ni-Mo prealloyed sinter hardenable steei powders were evaluated as a function sintering temperature and related to the microstructure.
