Race cars are developed in only by 6-8 months, and it is therefore of great importance to reduce the development cycle time as much as possible. With the objective of shortening the lead time, through considering the schedule of the design process we introduced a 3D solid modeling CAD, CAM, CAE, and PDM system (complete with the utilization of consulting services) to develop our race car model for the 1999 All Japan GT Car Championships.
