摘要

An introduction to the Salavatli geothermal field is presented in this paper to international geothermal community. In this study, the geological setting of the Menderes Massif and Buyuk Menderes graben is first introduced, and results of resistivity surveys are then reported. The results of a stochastic study based on low resistivity anomaly are postulated as accessible geothermal energy. Moreover, test surveys on two previously drilled wells are submit-ted. Future plans and strategy of Ege Energy are reported for the development of the Salavatli field. Furthermore, the results of the feasibility study realized for a 7 MW_(e) binary power plant are given. Finally, the importance of first privately owned geothermal power plant in Turkey is emphasized.
