In this paper, we explore a new approach to generate pure Calcium hydroxyapatite (Ca-HAp) and polycaprolactone (PCL) polymer composites. It describes preparation of the hydroxyapatite and polymer composite. Nano Ca-HAp was prepared by reacting Na3PO4 and CaCl2 in microwave-mediated hydrothermal route and reverse micellar route. Depending on the synthetic condition the size of Ca-HAp varies from 40nm to 200nm. Caprolactone has been polymerized using ammonium heptamolybdate as a catalyst via solution polymerization method. Ca-HAp-PCL composites were prepared in situ by solvent evaporation method. Thin films of the composite were prepared and characterized.
