The cement and concrete industry, as one of the key elements of Chinese foundational raw materials industries, plays increasingly important role in sustainable development of economy. Because of the productive and technologic characteristics that the cement and concrete industry has the congenital advantage of disposing diversified wastes derived from other industries, which thus refers to it as a typical chain of recycle economy. This paper is a brief of the significance of sustainable cement and concrete industry, some examples and practices are given reviewed.
