摘要

The symbolic meaning of the city shape is recognizable in the complexity of its architectures. They are coherent with the urban reality and its actuality, constituted from the present or from the knowledge of the past.The places where the urban figurability has greater prominence are the roads layouts, that constitute the structure, and the buildings monuments. These are equipped spaces where the man remembers to belong to a defined society.Analogies and differences mark the oriental societies from those western: with respect to creation of the city, the square form and her organization in multiple, according to the cardinal divisions, it finds comparison in the cardo and decumano on which the Roman city is attest. The same method is used in the most recent fondative interpretation of the american cities from Jefferson in then.In regard to the forms archetype of the architecture, here we can find also analogies, based on the use of the square and the circle. The analogies are verifiable in circular plant of the Temple of the Sky in Beijing that also has time analogies with the Dome of Brunelleschi in Florence, and with the most recent Tou Lou(circular farms of the Fujian). XI° and XX° the buildings monuments, for example the Eiffel tower in Paris, the CrCrystal Building in London, the Empire State Building in New York, have constituted the symbol of the city. This is due to the integration among the architecture, the technology and the historical identity of the society that has produced them.How to realize the new monument-symbol of the actual society today? These buildings have to satisfy very different demands in comparison to the past today, because the society is changed and the new technologies have determined a new physical and urban reality.An approach that strengthens the relationships system among people, social organization and architecture objects(fromm the road rotatory to the new habitat)it has to aim to the safeguard of environment as limited resource.This process can derive only from the comparison and exchange among different cultures.
