摘要

This paper introduces the newly researched binder(CGLS)used in the construction of the road base and the road performances of CGLS stabilize loess(Xi'an)and grading aggregate. The main ingredient of CGLS is the powder of ground granulated blast furnace slag(GGBFS), which has the proportion of 75%. Portland cement, lime, and gypsum activate the powder of GGBFS. The paper analyses the hydration mechanism using X-ray diffraction(XRD).The test results indicate that having some advantageous properties including long setting time, macro expandability and with over 32.5MPa 28d age's strength, the binder(CGLS)is more suitable for the base course construction than the ordinary Portland cement(OPC).
