Dynamic Characteristics Research of Steel-Free Deck Bridge Damaged Cases

A modal experiment is done on a steel-free deck bridge in the laboratory, and a finite element model of the bridge is established and the dynamic characteristics of the bridge is analyzed in different damaged cases, with focus on the impact of horizontal linkages system on the dynamic properties. The simulation analysis is compared with the results of the modal experiment, and the results are basically the same. The results show that for the steel-free deck bridge, the third longitudinal crack that in the middle of the bridge have little effect on the first two modal frequencies, but great effect on the symmetrical transverse bending mode frequency; and the longitudinal cracks that in the middle of the bridge have greater effect on the symmetrical transverse bending mode frequency than the edge of the longitudinal cracks; horizontal linkages system reduce the effect of the longitudinal cracks on the symmetrical transverse bending mode frequency. And conclusions can provide a reference for the research of the dynamic behavior of the same type bridges.
