As the result of survey about the European Intelligent robot landscape 2007, AR&T studied and visited main robot research institutes in Germany. On my opinion there are noleading institutes of robot research but some of them are world class. hi German institute of ro-bot there are three categories, e.g. beginner, middle and world class. In general all Germaninstitutes have problem in aspect of commercialization, the transition of basic research tocommercial products. As you know Germany is known for quality machine and precisionindustries. What will happen if Germany does not focus on the development of the intelligentmachine industries? The German digital camera industry may be the example. The time for ro-botics is now! This presentation shows an overview about the research landscape of Germanrobot 2007.
