摘要

Digitisation projects require well-rehearsed workflows to save time and costs while generating high value for both content-providers and end-users. But cultural heritage institutions such as museums, libraries and archives (MLA) often lack advanced knowledge and experience in this field and tend to contract service providers to carry out digitisation services. This paper outlines an innovative approach that will enable the MLA community to develop their own workflows and share the knowledge gained with others. The core concept is to collaboratively create, share, modify and manage workflows without in-depth technical and procedural knowledge. This paper introduces the applied framework model and its underlying architectural principles. Its main focus lies on the perspective of the content-providing libraries.
