摘要

The objective of the investigation was to determine the difference between the severities of the symptoms of PTSD with and without the history of TBI, after ten years of the longitudinal follow-up. Totally, 60 patients with combat-related posttraumatic stress disorder were included in the analysis using the following instruments: The Glasgow Coma Scale and CAPS-DX. The data were analyzed using ANOVA and PostHoc analysis. The results of the investigation showed that the difference between the severities of the symptoms in PTSD with and without the history of TBI do exist. The symptoms which differed most significantly among groups involved: intrusive recollection, re-experiencing, avoidance of thoughts and activities, detachment, sleep disturbances and difficulty concentrating. The neural circuits underlying the abovementioned symptoms involve hippocampus, DLPFC and OFC, and these regions proved to be vulnerable to TBI.
