摘要

This paper describes the fundamental problems about the ends and means of teaching and learning within a broader social, political, economic and cultural context within the development of the knowledge based sustainable society. The paper explores alterantive approaches to building increasingly dynamic and online virtual learning systems that are consistent with and responsive to the needs, interests and aspriations of individuals learners mediated by innovative learning oranizations/schools and their local contexts/communities. We think that global success having much more than social con-notations of success, as a sociological construct. In our view, global success is the expression of ontological climax on individual-human scale; it is what the human personality has as the most valuable at a certain moment of one's ontogenetic route. This paper focuses on cognitive views of learning, which contend that learning involves changes in learners' cognitions-their thoughts, beliefs, skills, and the like.
