摘要

The nanocrystalline calcium tetraborate (CaB_4O_7) was synthesized using facile co-precipitation technique. The synthesized nanophosphor is found to possess the monoclinic structure and have the particle size of about 8 nm. The Thermoluminescence glow curve of the nanophosphor has a single peak centered at about 150°C. The TL response of dosimetric peak follows a good linearity in the dose range of 0.05 to 1000 Gy, which is much wider than that of its microcrystalline counterparts. Moreover, the kinetic parameters of the TL peak of this nanophosphor obtained. The good luminescence quantum efficiency and the linearity characteristic of the present nanophosphor suggested that the concerned nanophosphor can be considered as a good candidate towards environmental dosimetric applications.
